weechat-radio:$ Calling frequencies

Places other WeeChat Radio stations may listen. Mode is the radio setting: USB or LSB on HF, FM or AM elsewhere. Suggestions, not assignments. WW = worldwide.

Check your band plan

You are the control operator. Verify the frequency is legal for your licence and country before you transmit. The setup wizard only sets the radio via rigctl if you confirm. Do not use APRS channels (144.800 UK/EU, 144.390 US) for chat.

HF data is USB, including 160/80/40 (voice on those bands is LSB). 60m is USB. CB is listed per region: AM/FM for typical sets, USB/LSB for SSB-capable radios. Channel numbers are not the same in every country.

HF

160m to 10m. All USB except the 10m FM spot.

Same list in the program: wcr help calling. Not sure which band? The Path planner drops two pins and picks one.

To see where each spot sits in its band, see the band plan.

On a rough HF path use hf-weak or hf-deep instead of hf-poor. See weak signals.

Stations on different bands talk through a gateway and the hub. See cross-frequency chat.

Need a radio cable first? Radio setup.
